Many city-wide reads culminate with Mona Golabek in concert, performing the beautiful classical music and story of her mother, Lisa Jura.

Scranton, Pennsylvania
The Children of Willesden Lane became the fourth book selected for the annual “Scranton Reads: One City One Book” program. School administrators also got on board, piloting the book and study guide as curriculum for their middle and high school students.
Each year during the month of October, citizens of Scranton, Pennsylvania together read a great work of literature. The Children of Willesden Lane joined To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby and The Grapes of Wrath on Scranton’s list of one-book selections.

Indianapolis
Mona Golabek performed for students and their families as well as members of the community in this expansive city-wide read, attended by Dr. Foley,Senior Vice President, Milken Educator Awards/Milken Family Foundation.
